Total TMJ replacement restores function of the temporomandibular joint when conservative treatment and partial reconstruction are no longer enough — ankylosis, severe degeneration, post-traumatic loss, congenital agenesis.

Components

• Temporal component — titanium articular fossa, contoured to the patient's skull base
• Mandibular component — titanium ramus & condyle, designed for the patient's mandible
• Articular surface — UHMWPE (ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene) bearing
• Fixation screws — patient-specific positions, planned virtually

Workflow

CT + clinical examination → virtual joint reconstruction with the surgeon → design and validation of both components → 3D-printed titanium parts, milled UHMWPE, full sterilization. Surgical guides ship with the implant so the operation matches the plan precisely.
